Cuba: Varadero

Left Matanza for Varadero and arrived in style in our vintage car! Varadero is one of the resort areas of the island. There are most than 50 hotels in the resort. We stayed at Palma Real Hotel. It was on the edge of where the resorts started and the actual town. Varadero is one of the only resorts that cubans are alowed to actually live in.

There was 20km of beach and awesome sunsets every night. Spent most the time doing nothing, chiling by the pool or on the beach. The resort was all inclusive. It had 4 restaurants and 5 bars with a swim up bar in the pool and a beach side bar. One of the days we went on a snorkling trip, we went out on a caterman, but the morning we choose there was no wind so the guy ended us rowing us out to the snorkel spot...poor guy!

Took a horse and cart into the town on a mission to a cash machine to find some cigar money

Coconuts...not so good on their own but when you add a too strong pina colada to a warm coconut...perfect.
