Canada: Niagara Falls

Arrived in niagara on Thursday with Rosie. Went straight to niagara on the lake, the nice sleepy town that isn't blinded by bright lights. We took a bike tour round three wineries. Tried lots of different wines and ice wine... My fav!

It was a really nice day but as soon as we got to the hotel it started to rain and with rain came fog... It had to happen on the night we had booked into the falls-view keg restaurant... Has an awesome view of the horseshoe falls... But all we could see was fog... Awesome dinner tho and Rosie was in heaven with her 12 oz steak!Went to the casino and sensible Rosie only let me bet $10... Ended up wining $40 by the time we left and the $10 bet was included in our room rate so basically a free bet :) I was good at choosing the bets and Rosie was good at telling me when to stop as winning gets addictive even on $1 bets!

Rosie was welcomed into the world of Tim Hortons! The canadian version of starbucks without the insane prices... and they do awesome bagels... the only thing that got me through most lectures.

Well... it had to be done.

Next day we walked along the niagara river to the whirlpool (which wasn't very whirly)then went out to an outlet store to get Rosies shopping fix in. Then got the night bus to new York at midnight!

The closest we were getting to the falls once the rain and fog started!

Niagara Falls by night

All backed up and ready to go, after a doubtful hour of whether the bus would turn up at this abandoned bus station and endless versions of Alicia Keys, Empire State of Mind song and wearing all the summer clothes we had to stop us freeze we were eventually on our way to the bigger smoke! New York New York!
